Ann Curry

Ann Curry has worked as an journalist for over more than 45 years. Her reporting focuses on natural disasters as well as areas of war. Ann Curry (born on November 19, 1956 in the city of Agana) was an American television reporter, anchor as well as a journalist. Because of the military service of her father, the family has moved around several times. Curry graduated from high school in Ashland Oregon. Curry graduated from high school in 1978 and earned a Bachelor's Degree in Journalism in the University of Oregon. In her youth she had the privilege of being exposed to various different cultures. Ashland was her final high school. In Medford, she started her broadcasting career with KTVL Channel 10 as an intern. At the age 22, she was able to become the station's first female reporter. Later, she moved into the role of anchor and reporter for KGW an NBC affiliate located in Portland, Oregan. Then she returned to Los Angeles four years later to work as a reporter for KCBS TV. Two Emmy Awards were won during her six year association with TV station KCBS.
